Daiyuzan Saijoji Temple (Minami-ashigara, Kanagawa)

A Prayer for Peace: Where East Meets West (Zen & Sufism)

Since the 1960s, DUP—a "meditation in song and movement"—has been practiced in over 50 countries. It has been three years since DUP was officially introduced to Japan. This is a historic opportunity to experience the shared essence of Zen and Sufism, the very roots of DUP. We invite you to be part of this milestone.
Official details and registration will be available soon, but for now, **please keep these dates clear in your calendar!

Our venue is a place of deep spiritual power: a 600-year-old Zen temple nestled in the mountains shrouded in the legend of the *Tengu*.

In a special arrangement for this retreat, we will be participating in the temple’s traditional "Sanro" (temple pilgrimage stay). We will begin our mornings with Zazen (seated meditation) and traditional prayers alongside the monks, and nourish ourselves with authentic *Shojin Ryori* (Buddhist vegetarian cuisine).
Apart from these sacred temple rituals, our time will be fully dedicated to the profound study and practice of DUP.
