Beloved Family, In a few days I have the privilege of flying down to Brazil and Argentina to share the Sufi Message and Murshid Sam’s Dances of Universal Peace and Walks. I’ll be accompanied by Yasmin Spiegel, who is an original disciple of Murshid Sam’s and was with Murshid two years before me, when he still looked like a professor! Naturally, on my days off, in between teaching, I will be in the countryside and have birding guides to show me the exotic birds of the region. Inshallah, next month you will see some picture of toucans! We will also get to witness the incredible Iguaza Falls, which I believe dwarfs Niagara Falls. This year Murshid Wali Ali’s Third URS will be celebrated at the Mentorgarten on Nov 23, 2-5:00PM PST and will also have a Zoom element. He is one of my closest friends of over 50 years in this life! His contribution to our lineage stream is enormous. We are so grateful. In the US, today is Election Day and we are hoping the results speak volumes on our country's intolerance for hatred, fascism, racism and fear, and begins to turn the tides toward a healthier American society, recognizing that our very democracy is at risk. The registration is open for the 21st Annual January Sufi Sesshin in Healdsburg, California, a retreat that Murshid Wali Ali taught at every year until he was no longer capable. I will also be teaching at the 52 Annual Mendocino Sufi Camp July 19-25, 2026. If you want to plan way ahead and start saving in preparation, all things like health and circumstances lining up, we will take a group to Mother India for the 100th Anniversary of Hazrat Inayat Khan’s URS Feb 5, 2027. Wazifa Practice Recite 101x YA AZALIYY ~ YA ABADIYY These are two Names of Allah beyond the 99 Names. YA AZALIYY, the eternity, before time begins, free from the limit of a beginning, stops the mind that is unable to conceive a time without a beginning, which allows us to liberate from time, prior to mind. From the root 'to straighten.' To relieve being pressed for time. YA ABADIYY, the Eternity, which is everlasting beyond the manifestation, which allows us to liberate from space, to liberate from objects. From the root dwelling in a place permanently, abiding continuously. To liberate from objects. As a pair, it helps us break the limitation of time and space, since time and space are necessary to consolidate a 'self image,' allows us to liberate the self image, helps expand time and space. The invocation Ya Azaliyy, Ya Abadiyy can be an antidote for the way our lives are stuck by the pressures of time and space.
